Hi.

As the first knitter in a crochet family, I was a bit of a knit sheep. I'm still clicking along. Eventually, I had to start enabling the care and feeding everyone else's stash.

A Maker's Year: Everything I Knit in 2023

A Maker's Year: Everything I Knit in 2023

Last year, I made multiple garments for the first time. When I owned a yarn store, I had no time to knit. I had to devote my knittng time to making samples of popular patterns. I couldn't even wear them because I made them the smallest size to speed up the knitting.

In 2023, I focused exclusively on adding garments to my wardrobe for every season. I switched to knitting with cotton, linen, or silk in the summer. I also learned new-to-me knitting and tailoring techniques. I even made a skirt!

My tally of objects made in 2023 was 1 cardigan, 2 pullovers, 1 skirt, and 1 pair of socks. I grew as a maker in more ways than I can count. Click through on the projects to see all of the nitty-gritty details of my makes and see what I learned in 2023.
